Dunlop Tortex Guitar Picks By numero9 on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

Dunlop's famous Tortex guitar picks are well-known for their great feel and excellent availability of sizes. I usually make sure to buy as many as I can in different thicknesses whenever I stop by the guitar shop. Not that they wear out easily, but they often lose their unique feel after a lot of playing. I find myself liking the lightest gauge (orange colored) when playing acoustic guitar, and a medium gauge (green colored) for electric. These picks handle everything really well, and I haven't had a bad experience with them yet. When I was a beginner, standard picks would easily fall out of my hand while playing -- how embarassing! These Tortex picks have a good grip, and while I'm sure my skill has exponentially increased since I was a beginner, the extra little grip the Tortex gives certainly have helped.
