Duplo blocks great for preschoolers

Duplo blocks connect like Legos but lack that easy-to-swallow problem those smaller pieces have. My first blocks were Duplos, and I can tell you what fun they are.
Duplo blocks come with a flat green field to allow one to build with their imagine. Some of the blocks also have faces, which is... great because they aren't creepy looking. (I'm having a sarcastic morning).
Duplos first came out in 1977, and they are a great toy for preschoolers and the younger set. You can build all sorts of houses with Duplo. All of the blocks are rectangles of different sizes, working from memory.
In short, Duplo blocks come and go quickly once your child progresses into Legos, but they are great for the young ones. What else will those Danes think of next?
My kids had hours and hours of fun with these in thier younger years! :)
