Durabrand Portable Dvd Player By ncmom on - Updated Sep 18, 2011

We bought two of these DVD players for our sons to use on an 8 hour roadtrip to Disney World in March of 2006. They have used them a lot and we have enjoyed the quiet we get from them using them. Being young, 10 and 12, our sons are pretty forgiving of the simplicity and lack of extras on these units. Their main complaints come when the DVD skips and has to be started over again from the beginning if we run into rough or bumpy roads. They cannot be easily fast forwarded or backed up so sometimes frustration sets in. They do have a large screen and pretty good picture quality and sound for their size. All in all, they have held up very well considering being tossed around, dropped, kicked and stepped on in the back of our van, not to mention the highs and lows of temperatures throughout the year. They are made of plastic so they do show scratches but they still seem to keep on playing and our sons still enjoy using them.
