DURALAST GOLD BRAKE PADS
By JOEY onI was in dire need of new brake pads for the front and back on my Subaru Forester. I could have just taken it in to the many places that do brake jobs but I knew that I would end up with brake pads that were on the cheap side quality wise.
Instead I went to Auto Zone and purchased their Duralast gold brand which is a ceramic brake pad. I purchased a set for the front and back. I have friend that does work on the side and he put in the brakes for me. He liked the looks of the quality and asked where I found them.
I have had them on over a week now and they are extremely quiet. I do not like squealing brakes and the info on them makes it known that they are formulated for quiet operation. I can say they live up to their word. They also have very high performance in my tests on them. I have had them on other cars I have owned and its always the same story. They seem to last quite a while and are quiet.
I like the warranty on them as well. Lifetime warranty. That means the next sets are free. They would not do that if it was a cheap pad. It would end up being too expensive for them. I liked the selections available at Auto Zone for the brake pads. The duralast Gold are worth considering if you need brakes soon.

Great article, has your braking distance improved at all?
would these work for a mini-van?
I hate when you get new pads and they squeal and then the mechanic tells you that's how they are supposed to be. Nice review
I'll have to mention these to hubby. We've got front and back to replace and ceramics were originally on the car and lasted us close to 4 years...well worth the money. Thanks for the info.
wow, lifetime warranty. That is great. :)
