E-Machines
By April onWhen my computer crashed about a month ago, I knew I needed to replace it.It was nearing five years old, which, in computer time, is ancient.I went to several different stores, but finally decided I was getting my money's worth at Wal-Mart on their eMachine. For just under $500, I was getting a 19" Wide LCD Monitor, a keyboard, a mouse and a pretty decent computer.I now have a 3.0GHz Pentium Processor, 1 GB Ram, 160 GB Hard drive, a DVD burner and more! The one thing I do not care for on it, but I had no choice, was upgrading from Windows XP to Windows Vista, but that is a different issue.I now have the luxury of viewing DVDs and videos online without having interruptions my old computer gave me.I can also burn DVDs, not just CDs, which is all my old computer could do.Gateway produces eMachines, so I know there is a good company behind it, also.I am so thanksful my computer finally crashed, thanks to my eMachines computer!

eMachines is produced by Acer in Australia, while Gateway is a subsidiary of Acer. But as the second-largest PC-producer in the world, Acer is still a very reliable brand, as would be eMachines :)
