This game is based around the theme of repetition and if that's what floats your boat, you'll get plenty of it here. Earth Defense Force 2017 is quite poorly made as it hardly makes use of the abilities of the Xbox, graphically, and lacks any online functionality. This is a straight up shoot at ants over and over game. Surprisingly some players find this entertaining despite the previous-generation graphics and lack of any depth whatsoever. However, I must admit that for the initial 15 minutes, the game is rather thrilling, what with gigantic ants swarming towards you and a city made of completely destructible buildings. If you're a fan of the "invading-insects" genre and/or repetitive shoot-em-ups, this is a definite choice for you.
