Earths Best Organic Whole Grain Oatmeal By kateri27 on - Updated Sep 18, 2011
I love this product. I am very concerned with what goes into my babies body. I make all of my daughters baby food, breastfeed, and try to avoid commercially prepared foods for my child (with the exception of Cheerios).
When my daughter reached 6 months of age and breastmilk was not enough we started her on Earths Best Organic Oatmeal. She immediately loved it. It mixed up perfectly with breastmilk. It has iron that growing, especially breastfed babies need. When my daughter was 9 months and had her iron tested at her check-up my doctor warned us that being breastfed she may need iron supplements. Fortunately, and I do credit this product, she did not need the suppliments.
The package has a little metal spout which I love. Someof the other commercial baby food brands have a cardboard spout which can easily tear.
One box of this cereal lasts a few weeks. I find the price amazing. Overall this is a best by for baby!

Thanks, I will have to let my sister-in-law know about this.
Unfortunately there wasn't a huge organic craze going on when my daughter was a baby or I would have probably used this product. If there are anymore little ones in my future this will be something I truly consider.
I'll have to keep this in mind when we have kids...thanks!
I've already started my son on solids (he's 7 months). I'll look for this next time I'm shopping for his food.
v0t3d! i agree what babies eat is very important
I like this, used to you had Gerber or nothing, lol
Gotta love that little metal spout! I agree that the card board cut outs for these types of products are horrid to work with. Plus I do not feel that the product stays as fresh as once the cardboard cut out is popped open it cannot actually seal again.
I bought this for my son and my daughter always wanted some too lol
Organic is the only way to go! I loved this product and so did the baby when she was at that stage.
That is amazing about the iron level. Thanks for the detail about the box spout, those cardboard spouts really are horrible. Simple things like the metal spout can make a difference.
