Eastpack Backpack By tbk06 on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

The design on my eastpack backpack is nothing to brag about. It's a simple dark blue with a black bottom and black straps. Yet it is a very functional backpack and has lasted me over 5 years. The capacity is similar to other backback brands such as jansport. The straps are a bit thicker than the jansport backpacks and therefore make it a little bit more comfortable to wear when you're filling it with tons of books. The outside zipper wears away pretty quickly, but I think that was caused more by the way that I was using the backpack. The bottom is also very durable as I have dragged it across the blacktop and cement floors for a long time and it remains in one piece without any holes or puncture marks. I would recommend this backpack if you just want a simple and reliable backpack.

This brand is alot cheaper than the JanSport backpacks. But it sounds like you were happy with it even through all the rough treatments. I like the thicker strap feature. Very important and definitely more comfortable.

I have purchased a few of these backpacks from Target over the years and have Ok luck with them. If we make it through the school year with one we consider ourselves lucky.
