Eat Pray Love By rainheaven on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

Ever since Oprah bashed James Frey on National TV, I haven't watched her show. 2 years later, I was at a friend's house when her show was on. Oddly enough, it was to promote a new book for her book club called Eat Pray Love. It sounded interesting, something about a woman's spiritual journey to find herself, and I thought, what the heck, I will pick it up. Little did I know what was in store for me.

Elizabeth Gilbert's experience is probably something every woman could relate to. She has a way with words that touches the feelings you thought you had forgotten. It makes your re-examine where you are in your life and if you are truly satisfied, or convinced yourself that you are. She takes you through a journey like none other around 3 completely difference places in the world. There are times you cry with her, and times you laugh out loud. You can taste and see every place she stayed at. Her revelations challenges you to come up with your own.

It's a must read for every woman out there. And to be honest, every man should read as well. My husband said if she found me crying on the bathroom floor, he would be in trouble! ;) (you'll get it when you read the book)

Pick it up at your local bookstore. Sometimes, I suppose, Oprah is right!
