A booster car seat is intended for children who are not quite ready for just a seat belt, but too big for a regular car seat. The Eddie Bauer Montecito starts out with a 5 point harness which can later be removed and used just with a regular seat belt. The seat is rounded, which makes it more comfortable for a sleeping child. My son who rarely falls asleep in the car, has taken many comfortable naps in this car seat. We chose the blue fabric color, but found it difficult to clean. The pad can be removed for cleaning, but some stains just didn't come out.

Our booster seat is attached with the tether system to our car, which makes me feel more secure using it. Most newer cars have this option and should there be an accident, the seat is secure by not only the seat belt but additional tethers. The Eddie Bauer Montecito booster seat has offered all the most important factors for us : safety, comfort and style, butthe fabric could be more cleaner friendly.
