I started collecting Barney CDs when my daughter was nearly 1 year old. My sister first gave her 3 Barney CDs on alphabets, numbers and one with the collection of Barney songs. I watched them with my daughter and I liked them. We used to watch Barney regularly on television with my nephew and my daughter. I bought few copies of the CD (around $2-$3 each; original copies of course but very cheap in my country) but most of those in my collection were given by my sister.
One good thing I really liked about Barney is that the show is very interactive, they have beautiful songs and stories for kids, and lots of things to learn. I have 12 Barney CDs to date and my sister will send us more soon as she learned that my son, who is 2 years old, is now also very fond of Barney.
My daughter is now 4 years old and still loves watching Barney at least 3 to 4 times in a week. Barney CD collection is a good way of educating kids from alphabets, to numbers, to values and good manners. I believe that it also encourages kids to get involve in music as well as sports and creative play and arts.

My kids LOVE Barney. Especially my two year old son.
Hahaha, My daughter memorizes almost all episodes of Barney and she can sing all the songs too. She watches Barney all day even when she wakes up during the wee hours of Dawn she would request to see Barney first before she goes back to Bed.
