Edward Scissorhands is Tim Burton's unique fairytale about a young man played by Johnny Depp who grows up in a castle above a suburban home owner's association type communtiy. When the scientist who created Edward passes away, he doesn't know what to do with himself since his scientist creator gave him scissors for fingers. One day a woman from the community below shows up at the castle finds Edward in the castle, and adopts him since he is unable to care for himself. I think that this is one of Tim Burton's best modern fairy tales, and Depp's acting is very good as the awkward teen. Also starring in this movie are Winona Ryder and Dianne Wiest. This movie proves that what's on the inside of a person counts.
