Eelectrostatic Air Filter By karlawmcdonald on - Updated Sep 18, 2011
This is an electrostatic air filter for your heating/cooling unit. this filter will trap pet dander, odors and pollen. It last about 4 months and then you simply replace it. It also has 3-way odor control, the carbon in this filter traps all of the bad stuff and keeps it from circulating all through your home in the duct work. It also contains OGuard, which is an advanced odor reduction ingredient. If you have pets in your home this is a must! It also has allergen particle reduction and Micro ban,it fights microbes that collect on filters and that causes odors. This fits all systems and is adjustable from 10x10 up to a 20x25 opening. You can remove the blue portion of the filter and wash it out every so often and when it is completely dry you insert it back into the frame. Do NOT wash the gray part, that is the side that contains the charcoals and carbon.
This product is so worth the small investment, it will extend the life of your heating and cooling unit, it will keep your home almost dust free and help reduce illness and allergy outbreaks.
Du Pont 7650 Purchased at: Wal-Mart Price: $10.00

sounds like something everyone really needs to have, save money now and in the long run.
This sounds like a good thing to do to save some money.
I have tried this product before and didn't notice that big of a difference than the cheaper ones. But, I don't worry that much about allergens either.
This is a great product, I never knew it was available. Thanks so much for the info.
Sounds like a great filter. Thanks for sharing this information.
This sounds like a great filter for the money. We could really use it now, the pollen count here is through the roof.
I'm a firm believer in spending whatever money is available for good filters. While a permanent filter is the best solution, these in between solutions are just fine. You can achieve an almost dust free living space and cleaner air for very little money. If you couple this with an every 3 year duct cleaning ($75-125,) you will notice an almost 100% improvement.
That's actually a good price for an air filter...I pay about $20 for ours.
This sounds like a great air filter. I have the kind that ou have to replace almost every month. Sounds like I need to make a change. Thanks for the great reivew!
This sounds like a good product to use. Being florida we use the AC all year and dust becomes an issue.
