Electrasol Better Than Cascade And Cheaper Too By KLKwid on - Updated Oct 15, 2011
After my last purchase of Cascade, I reviewed it here and decided it was time to try something else. I'm not a big person for changing what I know with cleaning supplies because I usually buy what I know works. It was hard for me to choose something else, but I went and stared at the dishwashing detergents for a good minute or two (probably enough for people to say "what's wrong with her?? LOL!) and chose one of the cheaper ones just to start. I guess I made a good choice!!
Electrasol was reasonably priced and I had a coupon (always a good thing!). It claims to have Deep Cleaning Power and Shine Boost. It is Orange scented, although I'm not real impressed with the scent-it's a little "detergenty" for me. It looks a little funny because it's very gelatin-like with little blue balls in it, but I put it in, hit the wash cycle, and bam! Clean dishes!! It worked like a charm. Everything is sparkly clean and no (or almost no)residue on the dishes left over. ( I have to admit-NO detergent will get cooked on oatmeal off a bowl unless you prewash it and I'm notorious for not prewashing).
Overall, I say save yourself some money and get the cheaper product that works better! Look for the blue bottle!

Looks like I am changing to Eletrasol and saving money too.
Eletrasol was here Looooong before Cascade. good stuff. Good Write.
I am going to give Electrasol a try as well, because Cascade just isn't doing the job for me anymore.
