Electric Pencil Sharpener

Getting tired of sharpening pencils with a knife, I found this X-Acto Mighty Mite Electric Sharpener at Walmart. It is compact in design and is a fit for any desktop.It has non-skid feet and steel cutters.The colors of choice are red and blue.
Easy to use the sharpener plugs into an outlet and starts immediately when a pencil is inserted into the opening. The pencil saver feature indicates that your pencil is sharpened by a motor sound change and a deceased resistance. As the sharpener is used ,be sure to empty the pencil shavings on a regular basis, otherwise it will not work properly.
I like this sharpener very much and it works great for the kids when doing homework . The price is also a plus for this sharpener.
Update On Feb 01, 2009: This sharpener has died since my review- and i won't buy another one!It seemed very durablewhen purchased and then just stopped working-no repair!Going back to my old crank one on the downstairs bench..
Sorry to hear about the sudden demise of your electric pencil point maker. I, like you, have an "old reliable" hand crank, makes a mess when you dump the shavings out, but always works sharpener on my work bench as well.
I also like the old ones,forget the electric sharpeners.
