Electric Six Fire By Dionysus on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

Electric Six's album Fire is one of the craziest albums I've listened to. All the songs are intense. The music this wild synthesizer utilizing rock band pump out are awesome. I enjoy the loud guitar solos and the simple tracks with instruments like clarinets that you would not expect a rock band to have. Dick Valentine is an exstatic singer and you can tell when he yells into the microphone he means what he is saying (although the lyrics aren't all that clever). The two best songs on the album were also smash hits on the U.K. charts which are Danger! High Voltage and Gay Bar. The album is worth just these two songs. Danger! High Voltage is as fast paced and rattling as it is funny which I personally like in music. Gay Bar also had me laughing the first ten times I heard it even though it doesn't seem to make much sense. If you like punk rock and are tired of disco rock or those ridiculous genres this is the CD for you. The songs on the CD are also good for parties or to have a good laugh with or without your friends. The album art shows a man on fire. Always a plus to have cool album art.
