At our house, the holidays means decorating, and timers are a necessity. We had to replace one of our old ones, and so i found this at the Christmas Tree Store. What we wanted was one that turned on at dusk and off at dawn. This one did just that, and was 24 hour repitition. With a photoelectric eye and a programmal selector button, and digital power indicator light, it was going to do our job nicely. It even comes with an overload protection for turning off power if an overload occurs. With the lights that the husband puts up that could happen here. I must say he does a nice job, and everything looks very festive.

This timer also has many other uses, such as for security when your not at home, landscaping lights, and recreational areas. I'ts easy to install, but suggestions are that you mount the timer in a vertical position, but not reaching ground level. It also is raintight, which makes for a long lasting receptacle. This is highly recommended over the old timers of years past.
