Electronic Thermometer By mariamrose on - Updated Sep 18, 2011

We bought this electronic thermometer 1 year back. Earlier we were using the clinical thermometer. One day it broke and the mercury was all over the room. I knew that mercury was poison, with my baby boy running along, I was afraid that he might get hold of some little drop from the floor. I had to mop the entire room twice before I was satisfied. Then I decided to buy an electronic thermometer. I had seen doctors using them in hospitals. I bought this from a nearby medical store.

Using this is easy, as it will beep after the measurement is completely recorded. You can measure temperature both in Celsius and Fahrenheit in this thermometer.

It is most convenient while measuring the temperature of my baby as he just cannot sit idle for a single minute. Time taken for measurement is less compared to the clinical one.And there is no fear of breaking the thermometer and mercury falling out!

Only drawback is that measurement will not be exact. There will be 0.5 to 0.7 variation in reading.
