Elegant Table Runner

I have quite a bit of counter space in my kitchen, so I use some of the countertops for decorations.When my old decorative table runner accidentally got candle wax spilled on it, I knew it was time to buy a new one. So one day while shopping at Ross, I came across a beautiful red and gold table runner. My kitchen is red and white, so this was perfect.

The dimensions are 13" x 72."Since this is for decorative purposes, I really don't mind that it isn't machine washable. I am pretty sure it would need to be dry-cleaned as the fabric is 90% rayon and 10%metallic yarn. But by the time I would probably need to do that, I could just by another one, as it wasn't expensive.it retails for $14.00, but I got it at Ross for just $7.99.

The runner was made in India, and has that Indian brocade look. The basic color is a cherry red, with a beautiful gold metallic border, and each end has a lovely red tassel trimmed in gold. The back is a solid red.I have a mirror tray with a teapot and teacup on it, as well as many wonderful scented candles. It gives an elegant look to the kitchen and dining area, as the kitchen is part of a great room, that includes our living room as well.This will also be a very nice addition to the fall and Christmas decorative colors.
