Elidel pimecrolimus Cream 1
By willoughbyclan onI have been using Elidel pimecrolimus cream 1% for my daughter for three or four years now.The tubes that I get through my prescription coverage are 100g each.I use Elidel all over my daughter's body for the relief of a condition called Ezcema.Ezcema causes her skin to break out in a rash and become dry, flaky and itchy. Before tyring Elidel we had tried alot of other over the counters products but nothing worked for her.We decided to seek the advice of a dermatologist who recommended Elidel.
Elidel is applied over the entire affected skin area on a daily basis.I tend to use more of the Elidel in the winter when her skin is covered and tends to break out more.I don't need to use alot of the product, just a thin layer before bed time and it will clear up any outbreaks that she may have had.Elidel is very expensive, I only pay a insurance copay for the tube that I get but if I were to purchase it on a cash basis, I found a price of $189.49 at www.candrugstore.com for the 100g tube.Elidel works really well and I try to always have some on hand for any sudden breakouts.

I have also used Elidel in the past. It eventually stopped working for me and I was put on stronger creams. None of them are supposed to be used frequently. I was told by a doctor to try A&D cream (otherwise used for baby rash). I use it when my breakouts are mild to moderate and it's very helpful and has no side effects. When I need to use a prescription cream, he said to mix a little A&D cream with my prescription. I've found this also works well and I rarely have to use my prescription at all now.
