Elite Beat Agents By Zathras By zathras on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

Elite Beat Agents is the definition of "quirky." You aid a trio of agents in thwarting crimes and helping people with their dancing and cheering abilities. At its heart EBA is a rhythem game not unlike Dance Dance Revolution but instead of using your feet you tap with the stylus on circles that appear on the touchpad of your Nintendo DS. If you tap off beat the agents pep will waver and it will soon be game over. Fortunately there is a liberal replay system in place.

There are a lot of songs you will be familiar with such as "Stray Cat Strut" and "Sk8r Boi" but there are a variety of new cheesy power ballads thrown in for good measure.

It is fun and the stories that play out on the top screen while you are playing are worth letting yourself be distracted and losing from time to time. It is a solid purchase for the Nintendo DS.

Stay at home dad and podcaster. My wife occasionally reviews a thing or two also. We are both big fans......
