My son came home from preschool one day with all kinds of questions about fires. They had been talking about it at school. Every night he would ask me if we were going to have a fire in our house and he was really scared this would happen. I bought him this DVD to help ease his mind.

I liked the DVD because Elmo is scared of a fire and it was easy for my son to identify with him. I liked that by the end of the show, Elmo was no longer scared. I also liked that they took Elmo to the Firehouse and Elmo was shown the Fire Fighter uniform. There is also a great segment that is a little girl who shows, with her family, their evacuation plans in case of a fire. They also have a meeting place.

I know my son liked this video because after viewing it several times, his mind was finally at ease and he quit obsessing over having fires in our house.
