Embossed Mini: The Perfect Gift for Writers

I received this little notebook for Christmas last year.It's put out by paperblanks BACK POCKET and published by Hartley & Marks Publishers Inc.The notebook I got is the Embossed Mini.

This is a blank book.For a writer this is the perfect gift.For notes, goals, ideas, or whatever you wish to write about. I'm using mine as a diary.

The Embossed Mini looks like a little book.Not just any book, like an antique book.The paper is acid-free and archival quality.There are 176 lined 5 1/2 by 3 1/2 inch sheets in this notebook.

I love the texture, weight, and design of this notebook.The cover has a latticework design on it.The design itself is embossed to give it texture.The notebook is small enough to carry around with you, but it has a nice weight to it unlike a spiral bound notebook.

The design detail is the best.The notebook has a built in elastic band to keep the book shut when it is not being used.There is a built in page marker. There is also a little pocket in the back cover to hide little mementos. All this, and a classic leather look to it--exquisite.

Hartley & Marks did a super job on this Embossed Mini notebook.It makes a thoughtful quality gift any writer would appreciate.

On a side note, I did not know if this notebook was made from recycled material.I visited the paperblanks Website and found they use paper from a "fully sustainable source".While I was there I discovered they distribute more than just notebooks.They also have day planners, journals, and address books--all in a variety of styles.

Update On Dec 21, 2009: I found a variety of these Embossed Mini notebooks at Barnes and Noble. They have this size and larger. I could not believe the range of styles. If you are looking for a special gift, you may want to check them out!
