Embossing For Scrapbooking And Beautiful Cards By Alice on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

I needed a new embossing heat tool so when I made my Christmas list the Marvy Model 2500 was at the top of the list with a note to make sure whoever purchased it to use a coupon from Michael's or Hobby Lobby. Since this was a gift I'm not sure which store it came from but the retail is approximately $25.00 minus the coupon.

I was first introduced to this tool in a workshop I go to each month where a bunch of crazy crafters get together one Saturday each month and work on our scrapbooking or cards and teach each other new techniques or ideas that we have come up with.

**My Marvy heat tool is silver in color, about 9 inches long, has a sleek design, lightweight, and very easy to use. I never worry about over-embossing or scorching my paper.

**I like the collapsible stand, great support when in use and easy storage when I put it away. It has a 6 ft. cord making it easy to plug in at my craft table.

**Anyone using an embossing tool knows that the metal nozzle gets very hot and this has a clear plastic shield that covers the nozzle.

**The on/off switch is recessed for safety so that it cannot be accidentally switched on by a child or if it should get dropped. I have no young children but I do appreciate this feature.

**It is UL listed and comes with a one year home use warranty.

Embossing is fun and easy, makes for wonderful details anywhere, whether it is a card, scrapbooking pages, fabric, wood or glass. You need a great embossing heat tool to make beautiful rubber stamped works of art. This one gets my vote.
