Emerson Microwave By Stephanie Mas on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

When we moved into our new house there wasn't a microwave so we had to go out and buy one. While shopping at the Goodwill, we found an Emerson 0.6 cubic foot micriwave for a decent price.

I like the microwave for what we paid for it and it heats up food really well. We use it for things like melting butter, cooking vegatables, and defrosting food. Even though it works well for most foods, I find that when cooking popcorn it takes a little while longer than what is reccomended and it doesn't cook all of the corn.

The microwave is has a dial that you turn ranging from 1 minute to 20 minutes. You can also set the power level to low, defrost, medium, roast, or reheat. It also comes with a small glass dish used for the center of the microwave.

I find this to be a decent microwave and it helps in cooking meals and defrosting meat and other items.

Can't beat that price! Sounds like it's a sturdy machine that does everything it should - ours even takes a bit longer to do popcorn than the bags usually claim and it's a fairly new one. Might be the way they are packaged. Thanks for the info
