I bought this cd player because I wanted a machine that would play cd's or tapes. I love that it also has a radio built in. This model is stylish and has great speaker quality. I love that it has a remote control too. I use this in my workout room and when I am on the eliptical machine, I can simply use the remote to change the track on the cd. I don't have to stop my workout by getting down and changing the track. The tape player part of this unit stopped working so I only use the cd player and the radio now. It is very easy to use. I use regular cd's or cd-r/rw's. It comes with an electrical cord but you can use batteries and make it more portable. I take this player with me so I can listen to my cd's when I am driving. I would recommend this cd player!
