Emerson Research needs to do more research...
By KLKwid onI bought this iPod player/radio for my downstairs for while I'm getting ready to go to work in the morning. My surround sound system has a radio, but it's hard to use and it doesn't have an MP3 player, so I figured this would make life easier.OK-it DOES make life easier, but the quality leaves a lot to be desired! It's got poor sound quality and it makes a high pitched noise in the background when you play the radio. At first I thought it might be the radio station having problems-that kind of what it sounds like, but then I realized it's just this cheapy radio. The iPod player works fine-the sound quality is just fair, again, but it serves the purpose. I guess I didn't expect miracles when I bought the thing, but I had hoped it would at least work well. One other strange quirk about this player is that the on/off button doesn't work.Whether you have it on or off, the player stays on.You have to go and unplug the unit to make it shut off.
A GOOD thing about this player, however, is that it is fairly durable. My dogs have knocked it off the table SEVERAL times now and it still plays like I just bought it (whether that's good or bad is not the issue there). It doess have a sleek design, and although it looks a little out of place on my entryway table, it still has enough charm to not look ridiculous.
Overall, you get what you pay for!If you need a small player for light use, this would work ok for you.Just remember not to expect huge, beautiful sound with it.Other places want a lot more for this radio-I certainly don't think it's worth more than the $25 I paid for it.

wow it does not seem like it is worth $25.
