Emu Oil Is Not For The Birds By JPnMO on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

Dry flaky skin is a hassle to deal with and hard to hide. Emu oil can help. I sometimes have flaky skin on my face, which make-up seems to make worse. Regular moisturizing products don't help enough. That's when I grab my Emu Oil and dab a tiny drop of it on my finger and then rub it into the affected area. It helps put moisture in the skin and makes the flakiness less noticeable.

It has been claimed that Emu Oil helps all sorts of problems, from joint pain, dry lips, sunburns, diaper rash, eczema and wrinkles. Sports teams often use it in their training rooms.

I generally use it for dry skin on my face. I've also used it as a hand lotion, but only when I'm going to bed because it does leave a bit of a greasy feel until it soaks in. I've also used it on cracked, dry lips. The scent isn't wonderful, but it's not covered with perfume as this is 100% Emu oil. One small bottle has lasted me for years as even with regular use, it takes very little to go a long way. It's sold in health food stores and also some spas. I recently noticed it now comes in a cream, which would be more appealing to many people.
