Energizer Family Charger

I wish that someone had told me about this earlier!We are big fans of rechargeable batteries, especially with a toddler.We had been using a AA and AAA battery charger, but it has been acting up recently - the batteries have been getting really hot.I had some Best Buy gift cards, and went to work on finding a replacement.
On the Best Buy website, I ordered the Universal Compact Battery Charger for $34.I received the Family Charger, and it is awesome!It can charge up to 8 AA, 8 AAA, 4C, 4D or 2 9V NiMH rechargeable batteries, and has a really nice digital status indicator that tells you when your batteries are ready.Another nice feature is that the unit does not begin to charge until the lid is closed.
We are going to purchase some C, D, and 9V batteries soon.I can say that it has done a great job with the AAA and AA batteries we currently have - no more hot batteries!
I would highly recommend this product to anyone who has kids.Although I have only had this product for a few weeks, it seems to be built well and looks like something that will last a long time (as opposed to the past couple of battery chargers we've had).
My only regret is that I wish I had known about the rechargeable D batteries a couple of years ago when we had a battery-powered swing!
Hmmm this is going to save enough money to pay for it and than some!
Thankfully we just don;t go through that many batteries anymore, but like you, I wish I would have known about something like this when we went rhough the D batteries also! Seems like the big toys eat those tooooo fast!
My ever favorite batter is Energizer and this really has got me intrigue to check this out.
I need one of these, like yesterday. We have varied sized chargers with batteries that went wonkers and have been buying batteries just to avoid buying individual chargers. This would be perfect! Thanks for the information!
I have a charger but tend to foget we have it. I need to find it and se if it is any good still, if not I will look into this one.
I love the brand Energizer. I will definitely have a look for this battery charger. I have two kids with lots of battery operated toys. Thanks for sharing.

hmmmm I bet this would work great with the digital camera age. We go through AA batteries like crazy with our cameras
