Energizer Titanium - Not worth the extra $$
By Bosoxy onI generally use Energizer AA batteries.
I can purchase 48 AA batteries for $15.67 at Sams Club, however I was looking for a longer lasting battery. I do not really care for rechargeable batteries as they do not seem to have a very long enough life. At the same time I want to do my part by not tossing out oodles of batteries into the landfill.
I selected the Titanium by Energizer as I felt that the Lithium batteries were quite expensive and that at $12.44 for 24 batteries, if the Titanium lasted twice as long as the regular alkaline Energizer I would be getting a good deal and being more green.
I used these batteries in several devices including a digital camera, wireless mouse and Wii remotes. I have used enough batteries in these devices to know how long they should last.
After purchasing and using the Titanium AA batteries I saw little to no difference in the life of the batteries over the regular Energizer AA batteries. I was more than disappointed, to say the least!
I decided to take a look and see if Consumer Reports had anything to say Yeah, I know I should have checked Consumer Reports BEFORE I purchased the Titaniums, but I just didnt think of it. Turns out that they also felt that this version of Energizer batteries is not worth the extra expense.
I will not be purchasing these again.

Good to know that these do not offer the best price-for-performance.
