Reviewing: Epilady Legend
Purchased at: Bed Bath And Beyond     Price: $59.99 USD

I had the original epilady back in the 1990's and I loved and hated it at the same time. The pain was excrutiating, but it worked.

Epilady has come a long way.It is still painful, but not so much that you will never want to use it.This epilady also allows you to use it after just a few days hair growth unlike the original which you had to have at least a weeks growth. You will have smooth legs for two weeks (not the 4 weeks they promise). The beuaty of the epilady is that you will not have the nics and cuts that you get from shaving. The break from the daily shave is also quite liberating.

The shape is easier to use.It no longer has the coils that used to catch hairs. It now has little metal clasps that rotate and grip your hair. It is a more pleasant experience.

I have found that it works well for legs and for armpits.I would not recommend this product for the bikini line.

I too had the original Epilady and was torn between the horror at the pain and the love of the results which are really very good. Good work on this one Kateri.

I've never been brave enough to try this, but nice to know the newer model isn't quite as painful!

I remember hearing horror stories about the original version. Didn't know they had a new one out, and it's good to know that it's better. Maybe I'll be brave enough to try it.

I cringed when you mentioned bikini line. Maybe this is why some women just use men's shavers.. =\ I'm still wondering how the heck this thing is painful. I'd just say stop using it!

Oh my gosh! I SO remember the coils in the Epilady! OUCH and ouch! I remember running that thing over my legs and it yanking out each hair. Bad thing for me is I have a lot of hair and many follicles have 2 hairs ... so ... you can only imagine. I don't know if I'd be brave again to try this.
