Epiphone Special Edition By Ben Whynot on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

This electric guitar is great quality for the price. It has doulbe humbucker pick-ups, It is constructed very well. All the hardware on it is of great quality. The mechanics of the bridge work very smooth and there are no sharp edges anywhere on the guitar from poor workmanship. The only downside is the stock tuning pegs, they are very close to bottom of the line tuning pegs, and I would highly recommend new Grover pegs. The sound quality is the same as any other guitar I have played, better than some of the similar priced guitars. It has a blue's guitar look to it, and has a jazz/bluesy sound to it. The pre-amp in the guitar is great, gives lots of volume without lack of quality, and the switch for the pick-ups works great. The only problem I have had was with the output jack, I had to put a lock washer on it because it kept coming loose. Other than the small problems I have mentioned, This guitar is a great guitar for the beginner.
