Epson Cx7400 Scanner Printer Is Just Okay By ryanpsbride on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

First, let me say I love Epson printers. I'm not in love with my 2 month old Epson CX7400. I bought this printer to replace my 3 year old Epson C86 that died unexpectedly one day in the middle of working on my graduate school thesis. This new printer is huge, it takes up a lot of space on my desk. It's paper tray has this annoying guard on it that makes it hard to put the paper in while sitting down. It has multiple buttons on the top, which are confusing to me. I've owned many printers and scanners separately, but this one has more buttons then the two items combined normally. The last negative characteristic of the Epson CX7400 is the sad looking graphics and pictures it prints! My old Epson was $30 cheaper and printed amazing pictures, you would have thought they were store prints, no joke!

A few good things about this printer are, the price was okay for the combo, it's somewhat fast at printing, and it looks nice. Honestly, the bad out weigh the good in my book here for this printer. So much so that I wish I could get my old printer to work still!
