Epson Perfection 2480 Photo By Sharab3 on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

The Epson Perfection 2480 Photo scanner is quite a high-quality scanner, and when compared to other scanners, it obviously comes with that "high-quality" price. Despite the high pricetag, it is more than worth it (if only so that one may interact with Epson when requiring tech support!). This scanner produces high-quality, high-resolution images and is even made for scanning in film negatives up to 4,800dpi! It integrates well with graphics editing programs but also comes with a stand-alone program for scanning in and saving images. As far as scanners go it is fairly fast, but personally I always get impatient waiting for scanners that are picking up high-resolution images... It's a sturdy design, but does take up quite a lot of space on one's desk. If you're looking for a scanner that is a cut above the cheap scanners one can get, this is a good bet.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who gets impatient waiting for the scans!

Epson makes such quality scanners-I've never heard of a scanner scanning negatives!! You are definitely getting your money's worth from your scanner!
