Epson Projector
By vsimeone onI am involved with purchasing decisions for technology in our school district.About two years ago, we started purchasing SMARTBoards for classrooms.These interactive white boards require a projector for them to operate.At first, we were using them with older projectors that were already in the district but we found that the lumens were not high enough and we were getting a "screen door" effect on our white boards.After some research, I decided on the Epson 83c model.We now have about 15 of these, which are all ceiling mounted, in our district.We had the first one go bad this past December.Replacing the bulb did not fix it so I needed to send it back to Epson for repair under warranty.Other than a bit of a language barrier with an Epson representative on the phone, I was very pleased with the speed and quality of their service.I plan to continue using this model until it becomes discontinued and then I am sure that I will purchase whatever replacement model that Epson offers!

Our school system recently got the SMARTboards & I love them (so do our teachers & my son!). The Epson printer sounds perfect to go with the boards!

I had to do a double take when I saw SMARTboards. My son's school just started using them. They don't have many but so far everyone seems to really like them. The projector sounds perfect for them
We have an Epson projector too and had a wonderful experience with customer service...sent us a replacement unit very quickly!
Interesting, I'm unfamiliar with smartboards, but this projector system seems to be good quality. Nice to know you received speedy service from Epson when you had a problem.
