I hardly ever get sick, but last winter I got a doozie of a flu bug! Not only did I have all the aches and fever that go along with the flu, I also had a nagging cough! It seemed that the cough worsened when the evening came, and it was time for bed. This resulted in no sleep, or interrupted sleep due to my coughing attacks. Ugh! I needed some relief!
I dragged myself to the local Wal-Mart and scanned the cold medicine aisle. I wasn't in any mood to spend all day there, so I grabbed some Equate Day Time Multi-Symptom Cold/Flu Relief. The price was right, now I was hoping it worked as well as the name brand stuff. Honestly, I was so miserable, I could have popped the cap off and drank from the bottle while I was waiting in the checkout line!
When I arrived at home, I immediately measured out the required dosage and drank it down. Oh yeah... in a matter of minutes, I started to feel like I would live again! I made sure I timed my dosage just right, so when bedtime rolled around I'd take a fresh dose. I know it's called "Day Time", but I was going to live on the edge and take it at nighttime! Sweet relief! It was the first time in a couple nights that I actually slept a few hours in a row! At one point, I did wake up and take more Day Time, because the recommended two tablespoons only lasts for 4 hours.
Thank goodness for over the counter meds, especially the Equate Day Time. It doesn't cause drowsiness, yet it still masks the cold and flu symptoms so you can function. And you might just get some nighttime relief with Day Time!

These Equate products are really quite good. I've not used this product as I tend to 'hear voices' when I use most cold meds (yes odd and I get teased about it...a lot), if I could take it I would definitely try it when I get a cold again, which hopefully will be never! Thanks for the info though, will have to keep in mind for the rest of the family though.
Equate are replacing many of the brand products and they are much cheaper in price, but with the same results.
The Equate line truly compares to the name brands!
