Equate Strengthening Nail Polish Remover

I have been using this nail polish remover for several months. I chose it because it is said to strengthen the nails in addition to clearing away old nail polish. It is also formulated to soften cuticles. The 6 fl.oz. bottle filled with purplish liquid was only about $2. The first time I tried it, I had to remove light-colored nail polish, and it did the job quick and nice. Later on, I noticed that darker colors take some more effort, but eventually this product also removes them well. The nail strengthening formula appears to be working as well: I do see that my nails have become harder, they break less than before. Like most nail polish removers, this one has a strong smell of acetone. I do not mind, although I try not to inhale it and usually wash my hands right away in order to get rid of the smell. Overall, I like this product and will probably buy it again, but not soon: the bottle is likely to last me many more months.
