Equate Tampons Vs. Tampax Pearl By Ms-JoDee on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

I was a devote national brand feminine product user until I reached the age where I could buy my own. After I moved out of my parents house, I discovered the store brand phenomenon. When shopping, I picked up a package of Equate Premium Plastic Applicator tampons in super (36 count) and a package of Tampax Pearl Plastic Applicator tampons in super (36 count). When comparing the two in-store, I found that the packages were similarly designed, absorbencies were the same and prices were significantly different. When I was testing the two, I alternated the Tampax and the Equate every other day. I found that I experienced a few leaks with the Tampax, whereas, I didn't experience any leaks at all with the Equate brand.

All in all, I'd say that the Equate brand wins, HANDS DOWN!!! It works better than the national brand and costs alot less.
