Erec Rex: The Dragon's Eye-Magically Delicious

As a children's librarian Erec Rex is one of my favorite books to recommend to Harry Potter fans young and old.The book can be enjoyed by reader's 8 and up, but will probably appeal most to ages 10 and up.

Erec is a somewhat like Harry Potter: he doesn't know much about his parents and weird things seem to happen to him.We meet Erec when he is 12 and first discovers a magical world that exists that normal people don't know about.So far sounds almost like a Harry Potter rip off.

What stands out about this book are the great characters, exciting plot twists and turns, and all the things that are so different from Harry Potter.I have been known to say that I like this first Erec Rex book better than I liked the first Harry Potter book.It is a lot more exciting.

The second book has already been released and this librarian will hope for many, many more to come.
