Erie Zoo By Dadof2Disneyboys on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

I have visited the Erie Zoo in Erie Pennsylvania with my family about five times. I like that it is conveniently located off of a major street in Erie and it is easy to get to and there is plenty of free parking. Admission price is average I guess, at $6.50 for adults and $3.75 for children. The zoo is pretty big, and not too big. My little boy's school took a field trip there one year and they had a lot of fun. There are over four hundred animals to see. My family and I especially like to watch the polar bears, the african lions, and the tigers. Another nice feature of the Erie Zoo is that it is very well shaded. There is a very nice train ride you can take, although it does cost extra, $2 each I believe. There are a few food stands, but the food is very expensive and not very good. We usually opt to pack a lunch.
