First off I have one other ESP LTD Viper, an older 300. Its held up pretty well over the past few years. This said I have always been impressed with most ESP LTD products. So, lets get started. The ESP LTD Viper 200FM is a pretty straight up guitar. It has 2 non active humbucker pickups which are EMG HZ H-4 humbuckers. The body is Agathis w/ Flamed Maple Top and the neck is 3-Pc. Mahogany / Rosewood. The overall sound of the guitar is overall rather bright but, not quite as bright as a Fender Stratocaster. This guitar is perfect for someone on a budget that does not want to sacrifice quality for price. The viper is perfect for anyone playing metal, punk, screamo or other types of heavy music. The dirty tones are what shine through with this guitar although the clean tones are definitely not lacking at all. I say if your a musician on a budget this may be the guitar for you.
