ESPN has entered into the print media market with ESPN, the magazine. It is a hipper version of Sports Illustrated ( the classic weekly sports mag). In this world of instant sports news information, ESPN has focused on other areas for its content. Simply telling the scores doesn't get it done, that can be captured on any Internet site.
ESPN has chosen to provide player profiles, editorial stories and weekly columns that focus on things such as fantasy sports (my favorite) and their website and TV show contributors.
They also focus on up in coming sports such as Nascar and x-games. I prefer the big four (football, baseball, basketball and hockey).
Personally speaking, I am a sports nut, who lives and breathes all sports. ESPN magazine quenches my thirst.
The magazine itself is a high quality publication, on heavy paper and contains bright, high detail pictures. It is a good read, one which I would recommend.
