I got a chance to try Estee Lauder Artist's Eye Pencil since it was included into a gift basket I got; I probably wouldn't have spent $18 on an eye liner myself. The eye pencil turned out to be very good. It has a perfect formula that is neither too soft or too hard. I've had problems with both extremes before, when eyeliners would be scratchy-hard or so soft that they terribly smear. This one is just right: easy to apply, soft as it touches the skin, and yet there is no smearing, the lines stay on nicely defined and wear well. The pencil also has what is called integrated smudger, it is located on the other end of the pencil. The smudger is very helpful, allowing to quickly correct any slip-ups.

Estee Lauder Artist's Eye Pencil is available in seven colors: SoftSmudge Black, Brown, SoftSmudge Brown, Slate, Forest, Ink, and White. It is dermatologist and ophthalmologist tested.
