Ester C Vitamin C Supplement By MisterBisco on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

As my last supply of vitamin C tablets ran out, I decided to try a different brand - Puritan's Pride "Ester-C" 1000mg supplement.

The first thing I noticed was the coating on the tablets. While other tablets tend to have a "grainier" texture, these are coated with a thin layer of cellulose, giving them a smoother coating. That being the case, I can even take these tablets without water and not risk getting the mouth-coating acidic car-battery taste which I've encountered in other vitamin C tablets.

Besides that, these tablets are a reasonable size - certainly not tiny, but smaller than many other brands of vitamin C that I've used. Additionally, the bottle of 180 tablets comes in cheaper than a 100 tablet GNC brand bottle.

Good product.
