E.T. Phone Home! By Eggy on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

OneSuite.com is a very inexpensive and flexible way to make long distance phone calls.

I have been using OneSuite since 2001 as my sole source for making long distance calls within the US and for international long distance calls.

There are several technology options - I use the prepaid long distance method. This is similar to a prepaid phone card. However, calling OneSuite a phone card is really not a fair description – it has many more features than a typical prepaid phone card.

You can use the Zipdail function to configure your home and office phone numbers and eliminate the need to enter a PIN number. You can use RapiDial to configure up to 50 phone numbers in your personal phone book (as a 2 digit code).

At the beginning of each call it will tell you how many minutes you have remaining. If you don't want this feature you can turn it off.

There are toll free and/or local access numbers in the US, Canada, and a number of other countries. Calls within the lower 48 states are 2.5 cents per minute using a local access number or 2.9 cents a minute via a toll-free number. International rates average about 5 cents a minute (many are only 2 or 3 cents) but there is an easy to use rate calculator on the website to look up the exact rates for countries of interest to you. Rates from and to Canada seem similar to those for the US.

The rates are cheaper than almost any other service provider, especially when you consider that there are no access / connection fees. There are no contracts, no monthly fees, no enrollment or maintenance fees. Your OneSuite.com minutes last for 6 months since the last recharge, so just add $10 every 5 months or so.

You pay for service with a credit card or Paypal. The easiest and fastest way to add to your account is on the OneSuite.com website, but you can also call their customer service line if you are away from your computer. They also have VOIP and Virtual Fax Machine (send and receive) options which I have not used.

OneSuite has a referral program where you can save (or make) a bit of money. Send me a message if want a referral code.

The OneSuite.com website is very clear and useful, but if you have any unanswered questions you can email or call Customer Support 24 hours a day.

I can't recommend OneSuite enough. Give it a try for $10 and you will probably cancel any other long distance plan you might have.

I know, I am not good at typing in Chinese so I used an online translation tool then copied and pasted the results. I realized the result was not perfect. Thanks for visiting!

Eggy if you ever need to receive fax then you should try Onesuite fax service @ $1/month. You'll get a local fax number plus unlimited incoming fax. I like the service very much...I never thought I could get fax service for $1 a month.

Thanks for sharing. I'm just looking to find an alternative for Vonage. Vonage isn't cheap anymore. I'm at Onesuite.com website right now and it seems like they've got VoIP service with inexpensive rates too. Will try this one out.
