Eureka Springs Wedding And Honeymoon Destination By kristyh on - Updated Sep 18, 2011

Me and my husband have a soft spot for Eureka Springs, Arkansas. We were married there, spent our honey moon there, and have been there many times since just for fun. There is lots to do in this charming little town. Lots of restraunts, pubs, little shops, hotels, wedding chapels, cabins, and scenery. This is more a place for adults than children. On our honeymoon we stayed at the Basin Park Hotel. We really enjoyed it. Sure the hotel is older but the staff did a really good job of trying to keep it like it was when it was built. The staff was very friendly. The rooms were very nice and affordable ($80 a night). The hotel is located right in the middle of the shops and restaurants. Almost every weekend there is always something going on in Eureka Springs. My personal favorite is when they have Corvette weekend! Also it is rumored that the Basin Hotel is haunted, we never seen or heard anything abnormal. We also went to the more well-known supposedly haunted Crescent Hotel just to look around. I would recommend this destination to everyone. The town is small but completely wonderful and laid back; we have always had a good time there.
