Everyone needs a slow cooker
By bnbscully onIf you are an "on-the-go" type of person or just have a ton of things to do in a day (work, get my son to wrestling practice, clean, homework, three dogs, cat and 100 birds, etc....), the 6 qt Crock Pot Smart Pot made by Rival is your best friend. I throw a bunch of ingredients together in the morning and whallah - dinner is served with barely any effort at all! I can't imagine a home without it. Just simply add the ingredients, set the time on the digital screen, set the temperature, maybe stir once in awhile and you are ready to go. You can program the pot to turn on when you are not home, but I live with a firefighter and he will not allow that!
The Crock Pot I have has a 6 quart capacity stoneware insert that comes right out for a nice dinner table display. The stoneware insert has a pretty oval design and is black. This Crock Pot came with a recipe book, but you can also look up recipes on line at www.crock-pot.com. I have cooked beef stew, pork roasts, pulled pork, desserts and chili, of course! And every recipe has been very tasty. And since the insert comes out, it convenient for cleaning, just put it right into your dishwasher.
The warranty is rather lame - only one year, but I have been fortunate, my Crock Pot is two years old and I have yet to have any problems with it! It does look used, but I do indeed use it! Don't get me wrong, I love to cook, but I also love the ease of the slow cooker doing all of the work!

I love my slow cooker-aren't these things the best??
My mom uses them all the time for family get-togethers. They're really handy.
Slow cookers are the best, especially the Rival brands.
Good that it works for you... Nice pot indeed..
I like the crock pot... It is nice to be able to basically leave it unattended but yet have a nice hot meal.
I've been needing a new Crock Pot... I know which one I'm getting!
Crock pots are great for easy home cooked meals! I'm glad this one is a good one.
