Everyone Should Have This Kuhn Rikon Knife
By Alice onI'veowned a pair of Kuhn Rikon Swiss paring knives for several years andcan't say enough good things about them.Recently my daughter asked if Icould find her some, as she was having a hard time locating them inFlorida (and it's always best if Mom buys, right?).
I purchased two packages of Kuhn Rikon paring knives recentlyat TJ Maxx after looking for them at many stores.I was happyto find them in sets of 3, as this was a much better deal than buyingthem one by one.Kuhn Rikon knives have a high carbon, Japanesestainless steel blade that not only gives top performance in cutting butlasts for many, many years. The full length of the knife is 8", and as I mentioned, I've had mine for more than 2years and they are still as sharp as when I bought them.
I like the colors, and especially the matching safety sheath that comeswith each Kuhn Rikon knife.I never worry about cutting myself whensearching in a drawer and I find them easy to spot because of thevibrant colors. These sets came with one each of blue, yellow and red. These knives are perfect when traveling and I want to peel an apple orcut up some fruit for a snack.Picnics and camping would beanother great use for these knives.Cover them with the sheath and noworries about anyone accidentally getting cut.
I use these paring knives for everything from peeling to cutting up all types of vegetables.Chopping onions has become a quick and easy job.Slicing up cheese and sausage is like slicing through butter as nothing sticks to theseknives, thanks to the non-stick blade of the Kuhn Rikon knives.
These knives are dishwasher safe or can be hand washed with mild soap. The handles are plastic and both the knife and handle have been maintenance free as long as I've had them. There is a 5 year manufacturer warranty.
There are imitators out there, but the Kuhn Rikon Swiss brand is the best fromour experience. As my daughter told me, if you can't find them, don'tbuy me anything else!

My husband use this kind of knife in our shop for trimming veggies or fruits before putting them on stack. I like the idea of non-stick blades. Gotta look for this brand. Thanks for sharing.
