Excellent Award For This Gas Stove By IcePrincess on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

Our house was submerged in flood up to second floor last September 26, 2009. So everything was soaked wet including appliances. When the water subsided, cleaning was very difficult and stressful. On the first 2 days of cleaning, we just bought food to keep us going. My father cleaned the two burner gas stove first so we could also boil water. I thought to myself that after 24 hours of underwater, appliances might not function anymore. But this Standard two burner gas stove was an exception. It's been with us for many years and I don't know its price when my mother bought it. After cleaning the parts and letting dry, my father and cousin assembled it and they were able to use it again. This Standard gas stove is fueled by liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) in a tank. We were able to use it for another three weeks, while cleaning the house, until my mother suggested to let it retire because the flames are getting yellowish than blue. We replaced it with new two burner gas stove. Standard gas stove deserve a high reward after more than ten years of good service and for giving us cooked meals for years.
