Excellent Non Hormonal Birth Control By LJohnson on - Updated Oct 15, 2011
After having not used birth control in over 5 years, I was a bit overwhelmed with all the options now available. Since I was nursing our daughter, I didn't want to use any type of hormonal birth control, and it was going to be a while before my husband would follow through on his promise of getting the big "V", so we decided to try out condoms.
After being very unsatisfied with a regular box of condoms - they smelled like latex gloves and seemed to be very thick, which I'm sure we all know doesn't feel very good, I picked up a box of Durex Extra Thin, Lubricated condoms to try out. They claimed to be 20% thinner than other condoms, and they utilized some special multi-layer technology. When used correctly, they are claimed to be over 98% effective, which is always good!
I have no way of measuring the "thickness" of condoms to know if in fact these are the 20% thinner than they claimed to be, but I will say that they seemed to be thinner than the other condoms that we had previously used. There was a slight rubbery smell when they first come out of the package, but it disappeared quickly. The comfort of these Durex condoms was great, and I think this will be our condom of choice until hubby gets a vasectomy!

Oh boy! I get to be the first to comment here, lol! Well, let me first say that my husband and I occasionally use condoms. The ones that seem to be the best for us are LifeStyles Ultra Sensitive Condoms. They are very thin but very strong. But, whenever money is tight, I just use the ones that the health department have in brown paper bags in their bathrooms.
Durex are surely the trusted brand in condom, thanks for sharing that good info.
